This is a rough attempt at a provisional programme - dates may change subject to availability and attendance. The club is usually held at a private address in Rugby, occasionally other locations. Details available on request - please contact club (at) needlesofsteel (dot) org (dot) uk for further information.
There is currently no charge for the meeting, which is held downstairs in my living room (we move the dining table to make space for the knitting machine). There is a downstairs toilet though it is not adapted for disabled use. Tea and coffee are provided and there is on-street parking, we are a short walk from the No 4 bus route. If we move to a proper venue at some point there will be membership fees to cover room hire.
The "in person" meeting has a show and tell and a live demonstration - I'm always happy to take suggestions for ideas. If the event will run at another venue, that will be indicated below. Sometimes we can run our club at the Alex, aka The Alexandra Arts venue in James Street, Rugby CV21 2SL. Follow the signs for the John Barford multi storey carpark and park there, it is right next door. The carpark is £1 for 3 hours or £1.40 via Ringo.
The Zoom is a live demo on camera which lasts for 40 minutes and is open to anyone if the timezone suits you. As it is run under a free licence we only get 40 minutes, so if you are late you may miss it!
There is also a free to join Whatsapp group where we chat about what we are up to, please contact me with your mobile phone number if you wish to be invited. Again, you do not have to be able to attend in person to join in with the Whatsapp.
I may run other textile events eg crochet if there is interest.
